The TWI tools are magical in their simplicity and effectiveness. They are logical, easy to remember, and easy to use. It shows us how complicated we can make things that don’t need to be.
The Job Relations module is an invaluable tool to effectively lead others, gain peak performance, and swiftly deal with problems that may arise.
We have used Performance Counseling in several instances to address and correct what might otherwise be career limiting situations. The logical, methodology is effective and well received by both manager and subordinate.
TWI tools put definition and structure to things we know we should do, but don’t always know how. It is amazing how simple and straight-forward the tools are once we were trained in their use.
In today’s environment of quickly adapting, often daily, to changing products and needs, the Job Instruction Training Timetable component of Job Instruction is a necessary component to react effectively to these changes. Knowing which people can do what jobs, and to what level of proficiency will serve any supervisor extremely well. It is that much more valuable to anyone who assumes a supervisor’s duties – short term or long term. Knowing your crew has never been so easy.

Our company has used TWI training tools on Sanitation with great success in employee retention and improved employee performance and job satisfaction.  We are now moving it onto our production floor and found it to be a great tool for our Formulation/Cook room department, as well.  We have a designated Job Coach who uses the TWI training methods to train, audit, and coach our new employees to the Formulation/Cook room departments and to develop Job Instruction Breakdowns.  We also utilize another TWI tool, the Training Timetable, to assess our training needs concerning new employees and cross-training current employees.  This tool has made it easy for supervisors to not only assess training needs but to have a record of each employee and the specific jobs they have been trained for and their performance in that job.  We haven’t used TWI long enough in production to see the impact on employee retention, but we have no doubts that we will see this by the end of the year.  We have already seen how it impacts training by increasing employee awareness and knowledge of a specified job and how to operate equipment safely and efficiently.  Our company goal is to have TWI training/methods in each production department by the end of the year.  
The TWI instructors are very professional, personable, and deliver the training in a matter than anyone, no matter the education, can understand and follow.  This is not a “seminar” or a typical training course.  You will learn real-world skills to train employees safely and effectively but in a small, comfortable setting.   It’s training that every company should learn and use.  We are certainly believers here at Land O’ Frost!

It's somewhat surprising the training methods use back in the 1940’s and earlier are still so effective today.  With the best of intentions, companies often invest time and money in the newest "flavor of the day" training or program.  Businesses succeed or fail primarily due to their leaders.  TWI builds leadership skills.

The TWI Team performed training with our Company on Job Instruction, Job Relations, Job Methods, Job Safety and Counseling for Performance.  In addition they provided specialized training on Sales Methods that they tailored specifically for our organization.  The curriculum used was “spot on” and the methods and theory  are still in use at our facilities today.  We began receiving the training about 3 years ago!
Not only is the curriculum strong, but the method of facilitation makes it individualized to every participant.  I can’t recommend the TWI Team too strongly and I cannot think of an organization that would not benefit from the time tested material and instruction.
